Nope! I do it all the time. Upon meeting boyfriend’s family at Christmas, boyfriend’s step mom said “Is that how you talk to him? I guess that’s your style of banter.” about how Kid and I are with each other.

When I was a new single mum, I was very isolated from anyone. I didn’t have a lot of RL friends who wanted to hang with the lady with the kid because we were all so young. The internet wasn’t quite what it is today, and I couldn’t have afforded a computer besides.
A show about a single mum who was rockin’ life with her fantastic kid was a breath of fresh air. I used to put the dvds in while I slept just to hear voices of other adults.
